CRIMINAL LAW

We offer full representation in all aspects of Criminal matters. Clients can avail themselves of our Legal services during the pre-arrest investigative stages, or at anytime after an arrest or arraignment has occurred.

We offer full representation in all Real Estate matters. Whether you are buying or selling a home, co-op, condo or commercial property, or just refinancing, we can assist you. In addition, we can assist you in obtaining surveys, building permits and certificates of occupancy.

LANDLORD & TENANT

We cover all areas of landlord-tenant matters from the commencement or the defense of an eviction proceeding, representing either the landlord or the tenant.  We also prepare and file orders to show cause to stay enforcement proceedings or pending evictions, and for the enforcement of post judgment relief.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW

We offer complete representation in all areas of vehicle and traffic law, including but not limited to simple traffic violations, arrest for a suspended license, DWI or ROAD RAGE, and the resulting vehicle forfeiture proceeding.  We also handle trucking violations and we appear at night sessions of the village courts.  We also appear at the Department of Motor Vehicles for administrative hearings involving the denial, suspension or revocation of an operators license or a commercial drivers license.

PERSONAL INJURY MATTERS

We provide representation to those clients who believe they have sustained a serious physical injury or permanent impairment due to an accident, or the negligent act of another person.

We also provide representation for those clients defending a lawsuit for negligence or a dog bite case which is not covered under an insurance policy.

WILLS & ESTATES

Many of us put this most important task off until an unexpected illness, injury or death occurs leaving family members with an unnecessary burden in trying to figure out what would you have wanted them to do. We offer estate planning consultations, and will also prepare your last will & testament, health care proxy/living will, and power of attorney. We also probate estates and defend estates involved in all contests.  In addition, we also represent clients who wish to contest the probate of a will.

In providing services in this area of law, we will come to your residence, health care facility or a hospital if necessary.

BUSINESS & CORPORATIONS

Are you thinking about starting a new business or acquiring an existing business?  We can assist you in every aspect of the transaction, including but not limited to preparing, negotiating or reviewing the buy/sell agreement, management agreement, employment agreement and lease.  We can also prepare and file the documents needed to establish a corporation, limited liability company or limited liability partnership.  We will also assist you in applying for licensing from the state liquor authority.  Should the need arise, we can also commence proceedings to enforce the provisions of confidentiality agreements and do not compete agreements.

MENTAL HYGIENE LAW ART 81 PROCEEDINGS

Unfortunately for many of us, when advanced age, infirmity or mental disease strike, we are sometimes left without anyone to look after our well being or manage our property or assets.

However, article 81 of the New York State mental hygiene law gives us a way to correct this problem.  If you have a family member or loved one who is effected with an illness or disease, either physical or mental, contact us for a consultation.  We may be able to file on behalf of your family member or loved one, a petition under the mental hygiene law, and have the court designate you or another qualified individual to act as the legal guardian of the incapacitated person and their assets.  Doing this will allow the incapacitated person to live a more comfortable, worry free and dignified life.

BANK CLOSINGS & FORECLOSURES

Our firm also provides legal services to banks, mortgage bankers, and other lending institutions located in or out of New York State. We provide representation as a settlement agent at mortgage closings, and as the attorney of record in foreclosure proceedings.
