I also have a superior reputation with my colleagues and the courts. I get results! In County of Nassau v. Canavan, I challenged Nassau County's Administrative Code, which allowed the county to seize the cars of people arrested for DWI. The state's highest court held that Nassau County's Administrative Code was unconstitutional. As a result, Nassau County has returned approximately 1,800 cars that had been taken because of an arrest for DWI. In addition, Nassau County had to revamp the law to provide the accused with several affirmative defenses and innocent owner relief.
